Tank’s at Work at Tucson Botanical Gardens

Tucson Botanical Gardens’ Director of Horticulture, Adam Farrell-Wortman, and Tank’s Shota Austin, have worked to ensure more than 20 tons of garden debris is diverted from the landfill every year.

Tank’s is the current vendor to the Gardens for a roll off dumpster for the Gardens’ green waste and provides yards of fine mulch for garden beds and pathways. Now in its second year, Tank’s helped to create the Compost Demonstration Area at the Gardens. The space is set up to show visitors how composting works, and why it’s important. With over 150,000 visitors to the Gardens annually, Tank’s is proud to have been involved in the area’s development. Check it out next time you’re at the Tucson Botanical Gardens and stop by for one of our compost demonstrations at the Gardens!
